Dr Tenbergen grew up in Ingersoll, Ontario. He attended the University of Guelph and completed a BSc and MSc in Swine Health Management, then graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2016. Ryan is the author and co-author of scientific articles in the field of swine diseases and pig farm management. He has also been a guest speaker at several scientific conferences and meetings on pork production across Canada. He joined Demeter Veterinary Services in 2016 and became part owner in 2019. He oversees farms in Ontario and the Maritimes.

Dr. Voth attended the University of Guelph where he completed a BSc in Animal Biology followed by a veterinary degree at the Ontario Veterinary College. He joined Demeter Ontario immediately after graduating in 2022, and has been working with producers across the province since.

With years of experience managing swine genetic multipliers and working in swine nutrition sales, Mark Robinson has honed a deep expertise in breeding barn success and raising robust, profitable grower hogs. Passionate about supporting family-owned farms, Mark is dedicated to helping pro-ducers raise healthy, fast-growing pigs while ensuring their operations remain profitable and sus-tainable.

Specializing in swine genetics, nutrition, and performance, Mark has a proven track record of im-proving herd productivity and optimizing genetic outcomes. His clients know him for his profes-sionalism, responsiveness, and unwavering commitment to the success of their operations.

Dan Bussières is a swine nutritionist graduated from Université Laval, Quebec, and one of the brightest minds of the Global Swine Industry. Together with his partner, he founded Groupe Cérès Inc in 2004. Mr. Bussières is the head of nutrition for HyLife and the Cérès Group, works on the development and monitoring of nutrition programs for pig producers across Canada, and is engaged in pork production.

Samuel Lefebvre represents the third generation of the Aldo family farm, located in Saint-Lambert-de-Lauzon. This farm, home to 2,200 sows, produces around 55,000 pigs annually and has been shaped by the dedication and hard work of his family over the years.

In addition to his involvement on the farm, Samuel serves as Global Sales Director at Jyga Technologies, a division of the family business that designs and distributes Gestal brand equipment in over 40 countries.

Samuel is passionate about contributing to the Canadian pork industry and believes in drawing inspiration from global best practices to support innovation and sustainability. In his talk, he will share the story of his family’s journey and their vision for the future of their company and for the pork industry.

​Todd Thurman is the Founder of Swine Insights International and an International Swine Management Consultant with more than 25 years experience. He has worked in and with large scale live pork production systems in more than 17 countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America, North America and Europe. He provides consulting, training and business advisory services to clients, guides Swine Insights’ strategic direction, leads a core team of Swine Insights Consultants and writes and speaks about important issues facing the global pork and broader agriculture industries. Todd is based at Swine Insights Global Headquarters near Fort Worth, Texas where he lives with his Wife and Daughters on a small acreage raising goats and cattle.
